South Melbourne Campus


Hester Hornbrook South Melbourne opened in 2023 and has been a a safe and productive learning environment for students to thrive in their education and wellbeing.

Due to the opening of more full capacity campuses across Victoria Hester Hornbrook's South Melbourne campus will close at the end of the 2026 school year.

We are no longer taking enrolments for our South Melbourne campus.

Our classrooms are not like traditional classrooms

 


 

We offer high quality learning programs to meet individual student's needs. Applied learning principles inform all our classroom curriculum offerings:

 

  • Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) and
  • VCE Vocational Major (VM)
  • VETDSS courses to cater to young people's interests and vocational pathways.
  • Parent Friendly classroom 
  • Engage Youth Program. The Engage Youth Program has a modified timetable of two days onsite learning, plus outreach and case management available, including education and wellbeing support.
  • This campus also boasts an commercial kitchen and an indoor basketball court and gym, hosting specialised classes focusing on Hospitiality (VM), Sport and Rec (VM) 

 


Our flexible learning options give students the chance to:

 

  • Develop their literacy and numeracy skills
  • Complete a secondary school certificate
  • Gain practical project-based skills
  • Pursue their own individual learning goals
  • Take charge of their future
